TESHIMA Farm Experience & Art Tour

You will visit Teshima island, an island known for its contemporary art along with Naoshima, on a comfortable private chartered boat.

On this island, you can enjoy the beautiful terraced rice fields of Karato, which stretch across the slopes with views of the sea, as well as the tranquil landscapes of the Seto Inland Sea throughout the year.

The pure spring water that flows from Mount Dan, located in the center of Teshima, has long supported rice cultivation, agriculture, and the lives of the island’s people.

On this tour, you will visit “Mikogahama Farm,” a place filled with the wisdom and ingenuity of those who have lived in harmony with nature. While learning about the history of the island’s rich, three-dimensional farming practices, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the natural cycles that sustain life on Teshima.

For lunch, you’ll enjoy a farm meal cooked in a traditional clay oven located in the middle of the terraced rice fields. You can choose between making your own pizza or enjoying rice cooked in the oven.

Important Notes regarding the cruise	-If the captain determines that weather conditions or safety concerns make operation impossible, the boat ride may be canceled. -Life jackets must be worn when boarding the boat. -If a passenger fails to follow the captain’s instructions or disrupts safe operations, they may be asked to disembark.
Other Notes	-Museums are closed on Tuesdays (from March 1st to November 30th) / Tuesdays to Thursdays (from December 1st to the end of February). *However, the museums will be open on public holidays and closed the following day. *However, if Monday is a public holiday, the museums will be open on Tuesday and closed on the following Wednesday. *Please note that this tour is also not available on other days when the museums are closed, such as during the New Year holiday period. Please wear comfortable clothing suitable for cycling. -If the tour is canceled due to bad weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances, no cancellation fee will be charged. However, for hotel accommodations, cancellations will be handled according to the hotel’s cancellation policy. -When using the rental bicycles, please refrain from drinking alcohol or riding recklessly. Be sure to follow traffic rules and ride safely. -Rental bicycles are not available for individuals with heart conditions or any health concerns.
